The Geelong Golf Course have been working closely with their local disability employment agencies and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcomes. Two young men, Brent and Jeremy are now working at the course as Range and Cart Assistants and are very happy to be part of a workplace environment.

Brent has been with Geelong Golf Course for the past 6 months and works 3 hours a week. He is accompanied by his support worker Louie and diligently goes straight to work picking up range balls and cleaning carts. Brent is working towards gaining further qualifications to up skill and increase his hours at the course. Jeremy has been with Geelong Golf Course for 3 months and works 8 hours a week. Jeremy works closely with the staff at the course to ensure he feels comfortable completing the tasks he is given each shift.

Both Brent and Jeremy are enjoying their new workplace; learning new skills, building rapport with customers and creating social connections with staff.

The inclusive employment opportunities supported by Geelong Golf Course demonstrates the Belgravia Foundation’s commitment to diversifying the leisure sectors workforce to reflect the communities we operate in. We are proud of Brent and Jeremy’s contributions and looking forward to hearing about their achievements in the future.
